My first collection Arachne is dedicated to spiders. They symbolize female power, creativity and wisdom.
I’ve always thought of spider web as being very inviting, mystical and meditative.
I purposely haven’t put spider image on any of the scarves, because I want to suggest that women who wear it do have spider powers of their own and are an actual spider/owner of the web.
Fully preoccupied with dark, mythology, macabre and magick themes.
Besides working and experimenting with photography,
my chosen media is silk painting.
Silk as an ethereal organic mater suits perfectly my vision of female power
and transfers it beautifully into fashion.
For me, there is no difference between Art and Fashion.
As I am trying to make it as free as possible from it’s purpose,
each peace I create can be worn, but also meditated upon
as a painting or an accessory of Magick.
is a Greek word literary meaning
shell or vagina (as opposed to Phallos)
and it is commonly used meaning Great Mother or Goddess.
It summarizes everything I crawl to: spirituality, creativity, art,
femininity, beauty and mystery.
Labyrinths are ancient diagrams that emanate power and energy into their surroundings and to the people that use them.
There are seven main labyrinths and their energies are connected with 7 holy planets in astrology and thus with 7 colors, 7 metals, days, etc.
Labyrinths were firstly found in neolithic art and they are in tight relationship with Great Goddess and Earth, because they were mainly earthen structures, build as passages or carved in rocks.
Passing through Labyrinth is a symbolic path of initiation. Stepping into it is an act of great courage and reaching it’s center means reaching the point of enlightenment.
